How A Caddie Can Help Your Golf Game

Once you step on the course and your ball is in motion, you are alone. That is unless you have a good caddie that can help. If you work with this guy, there are many ways that you can get a lot of help with your game.

You can get help making the correct club choice. It is normally one task that is expected. If your caddie has worked on the course any length of time, he should be a lot more familiar with the quirks of each hole than you. This knowledge will help in selecting the correct club at each point in your game.

Another task that you will want done is that of wiping of the club after each hole before returning it to the bag. This can help with your game as you do not want any foreign material on the club as you approach the ball.

It is a known fact that a clean golf ball will travel farther and putt better than a dirty one. So, this a service that will be offered from time to time during the game. It is something that you should not need to request. But, if you feel that the ball is getting dirty, your caddie will handle this for you without any problem.

If for some reason, your swing creates a divot, another job for your caddie will be to replace these pieces of grass after you finish the hole. This is something that is done to keep the fairway maintained and to provide a good course for anyone following behind you.
